Meet the Author
Edward Schwarzschild is the author of Responsible Men, a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of the Year, a BookSense Notable Pick, and a finalist for the Rome Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Samuel Goldberg and Sons Foundation Prize for Jewish Fiction.
His work has appeared in the Believer, Tin House, Fence, Virginia Quarterly Review, and the Yale Journal of Criticism, among other publications.
He lives with the writer Elisa Albert and their cool little boy in upstate New York, where he is an associate professor at the University at Albany, SUNY, and a fellow at the New York State Writers Institute.
His latest book is The Family Diamond, a collection of stories about family, love, and loss, set in and around Philadelphia. You can find much more information about this new book and the rest of Ed's work throughout this site.
